KAW, according to the excel sheet, you have only $4.50?

This is true. Sorry I missed it before. So KAW's $5.75 bid in invalid. Leading bid goes back to Washington at $5.25.
KAW - If I somehow missed a transaction that gives you more money, please let me know and I will investigate further.

Also pm'd you and Wash. I announce as part of my bid that I was dripping Calhoun who's on $8 contract. By dropping him if I win auction, that should free up an additional $4.
If I did this wrong, let me know.

Ahh...I see what you were trying to do now yes! But yes, you did it wrong. So a good auction lesson for everyone and a chance to post another rule reminder. 38 - the salary of the player you intend to drop does not count towards the available salary you can bid. If you wish to gain extra salary for bidding you can drop a player either before or during the auction to free up cap space. If you fail to win the auction after dropping a player in this way then, as in Rule 49, you would have to sign a different player if you wanted to refill the vacated slot, and not the player you cut to free up salary.

So in other words, if you want to take the risk, you can drop Calhoun right now and gain the $4 to bid with. But if you lose the auction, you don't get Calhoun back.

Thanks for the clarification. I'll be dropping Calhoun, so will take care of that and resubmit my bid.

$5.75
I've dropped Calhoun which frees up the cap space to make this a valid bid.
