No worries, this happens once a year and we all need a little reminder of it. Here is a refresher on the actual rule.
38 - the salary of the player you intend to drop does not count towards the available salary you can bid. If you wish to gain extra salary for bidding you can drop a player either before or during the auction to free up cap space. If you fail to win the auction after dropping a player in this way then, as in Rule 49, you would have to sign a different player if you wanted to refill the vacated slot, and not the player you cut to free up salary.

Do you have this much cash available? Roster Page says you don’t. Flames is correct about this. KAW does not have enough cap room to make this bid. So this bid is INVALID. It looks like he made a couple other bids that were invalid too, but you guys kept bidding so those bids stand.
KAW - Don't forget that the money you would gain from your drop does not apply to your cap for bidding. He has to actually be dropped before you get that money.
Leading bid goes back to Flames at $4.
Yeah I just kept bidding over the invalid ones since Gotham was still bidding anyways, so his were valid
