Was a good thought - probably too late into the auctions where no one had any money left to buy picks.

I offered him $7.50 for it but he turned me down.

Thanks for keeping PMs private.

? It was a public auction. Sorry if that was supposed to be private, I'm not sure why as I only said what you wouldn't do not what you would do.

Seems like making a bid on the public auction thread would have been public. A message would seem private in my mind.

I made it private not to disturb my other deal but was told no to full price so no need to post it publicaly but it was a public auction where he was offered his asking price. I it was an offer he was willing to take and then I backed out I could understand for sure. But making a player available at a starting bid and not taking the full price....well that's his porogiative but then you can't act like no one offered you full price when I gladly would have made it public if he hadn't said he wouldn't take his opening bid. The whole thing seemed sketchy.

Besides doesn't knowing that someone was willing to pay full price help drive up the price of his commodity not drive it down so it couldn't hurt for people to know someone thought it was worth $7.50.

Just throwing my 2 cents in. Seems to me that it should have been outlined that bidders should PM. Also, it appears that mini met the min acceptable bid, so why wasn't he awarded the pick/trade? I'm having difficulty understanding how you can post an auction, outline details of auction and not accepting a bid within parameters set.

$7.5 was a starting point not a buy out price there were many conditions he wanted agreed on.

There wasn't a bid, there was never a post on the thread. A bid is public. Mini tried to circumvent the auction bc his trade talks with halfman changing the value of his pick. That is trade talk, not a bid.

ok so like I said I could make a public bid no problem but the bidding is now over even tho the starting bid was apparently irrelevant because it was not an acceptable amount.
Either way my post showing interest in paying g the publicized price can't harm him.

Right, had you made a post on the auction thread for $7.5 you would have the pick. But you didn't. It is his choice to cancel the auction, 48 hours have passed and there still hasn't been an actual bid. I don't see what the issue with the bid is.
The comment about a PM being private is a legit one, I'd be annoyed too.

No phil that's the point! I would have made the pick public but he told me that $7.50 was not enough. So I didn't make a public bid because his opinion on what an opening bid is, is different than what you think or how you are saying. He said and is saying in this post that a bid of $7.50 would NOT have won the pick!
Because he told me this I did not make the pick publicly. If I could have bought the pick for $7.50 I would have made the pick on the thread. The reason I mentioned it is because there was an inference that he didn't get any offers and that's wrong. He would have had it sold for $7.50 public ally before the 48 hours but he told me he wouldn't take his opening bid!
