Kershaw was involved in a full salary coverage trade in the other league this year too. But the comparisons really stop there. In that league someone won him in auction THIS YEAR and then immediately turned around and signed him to 3 years and paid FULL salary for ALL 3 years. That is seriously frowned upon! We are contemplating a rule change there to prevent that type of trade from happening again.
But covering salary for 1 year is pretty common practice once rosters a full. I don't see a problem with this.

You're doing nothing wrong here. Just funny that both leagues had Kershaw going at fully covered salary. The difference is raising the price during a current auction to win then flip for prospects fully covered. It created a mess and will probably create a rule of limited salary coverage or minimum roster hold. The real issue is mortgaging a teams future so much salary wise and tanking seasons out to grow a farm. It was a heated debate in a league that lasted a decade. Also the issue of creating super teams where a top team can have a free Kershaw or other elite players for free. It is detrimental to a league like this.
