I was about to bid again and checked how high KAW could go doesn’t look like he even had enough to make a bid. Can we check that so I know to bid again or not?

Since all bids are final I don’t want to bid myself up for no reason

In this scenario shouldn’t I win him at $1?

You can bid yourself up, at least that’s how it has been in the past and rules state all bids are final. It’s shitty, but it’s on each person to check and make sure the previous bid was valid before they make another one. Been burnt that way a couple times. Just impossible for the commish to check every bid.
Obviously in this case it’s Nate’s call on the bid situation. Hell KAW may have the money and just not have been updated.

I was about to bid again and checked how high KAW could go doesn’t look like he even had enough to make a bid. Can we check that so I know to bid again or not? This is correct. I did not notice myself until it was brought to my attention. Everyone has been here long enough to know the rule. The salary of your drop does not count towards you new bid. You have to actually drop the player to have the whole amount to use in a new auction.
38 - the salary of the player you intend to drop does not count towards the available salary you can bid. If you wish to gain extra salary for bidding you can drop a player either before or during the auction to free up cap space. If you fail to win the auction after dropping a player in this way then, as in Rule 49, you would have to sign a different player if you wanted to refill the vacated slot, and not the player you cut to free up salary.

In this scenario shouldn’t I win him at $1? This is also correct. Had KAW not kept making invalid bids then this auction might have sold at $1. But that is why I always say to check EVERY bid that is made in an auction you are involved in. Technically what happened here is Boro was bidding against himself long enough to allow Sliders to get involved in the auction. So this is a BIG mess now! Had I been on the PC over the weekend I would have noticed, but I wasn't around much this weekend so I didn't notice.
Sooo...here is what we will do to be fair for both parties involved. I am going to reset the auction back to the original bid of $1 and put 24 hours back on the clock. The only 2 that will be allowed now are Sliders and Boro. Technically Sliders has already won the auction with the last valid bid since Boro gave up. But it's also not fair to him that KAW drove the price up with invalid bids. So this is the only fair way I can think of now that it has gotten this far.
