If you need an option guy for this year I have Story $5 salary 2021 and Robbie Ray $6 salary 2021 and can trade one for sure…
BUT
If I recall the rules correctly, any trade made after the deadline that includes a player who’s contract is expiring the following year must be given an extension before the trade is completed.
Meaning that if I trade you one of my option guys, I have to give him my option contract and can’t then option the remaining player.
I’m still willing to trade one of those guys so let me know if you’re interested but unless I’m wrong, I can’t trade you one anymore that would be eligible for you to use your option on.
Nate can you confirm?

Nate can you confirm? That is correct. You can't trade a player without a contract. And as of now Story & Ray are both FA's without contracts. So you would have to sign and trade one of them which would use your 1 option contract. |
