I am so fortunate living up here in the beautiful PNW. This will be the 3rd year my 11 Y.O. and I have had season tickets for the Hillsboro Hops. A short season "A ball" affiliate of Az. We have seen some pretty good players the last 2 years Definitely makes me pay attention to the draft as the first 7 rounds all played here last year, even the guy with the Whitest name in baseball "Dansby Swanson" Just a sample of the players that came through last 2 years *hops. Forrest Wall Kyle Schwarber Gleyber Torres Trea Turner Cory Spangenberg Travis Jankowski Keury Mella Tyler Beede Franklin Barreto David Dahl Tyler Matzek Eloy Jimenez Ian Happ Alex Jackson Dansby Swanson* Cody Reed* Carlos Hernandez* C.J. Hinojosa Jose Vizcaino Jr. Christopher Shaw Andrew Suarez Dillon Tate I saw many of these guys play, not all but most. In my program they show alumni from years back and its mind blowing! Well anyways its short season, doesn't start until after the draft. (Mid June) 38 home games and if any of you are in the PDX area business trip etc. Hit me up maybe we can catch a game, one of the local craft Breweries sponsors the team hence the "Hops" name.

Nice! That's quite the list of prospects that have been through there.
I live in Richmond, Va home of the AA Giants. Don't catch as many games as I should but they've had a good number of guys through here. At one point in the 2014 World Series the entire infield had been here: susac, belt, Tomlinson (and panik), crawford, and Duffy.

I grew up in Richmond and lived there all my life before moving to Vegas. We had the AAA Richmond Braves then. I saw the Klesko, Chipper, etc group come through. Neon Deion too lol

I'm moving to Reno in June. Our house is going to be 10 minutes from where the Reno Aces play (Dbacks AAA team). My son and I are super excited about being able to go watch some MiLB! I'm not a Dbacks fan in the least but I am a NL west guy so it's going to be sweet to see all those young guys come through there. I already have my sights set on the OKC Dodgers coming to town on 7/14-17. I'm hoping I can get to go watch Urias pitch.

My brother lives in OKC, but isn't big baseball fan. I told him about Urias and that he had to catch a game, he went 2 weeks ago to see him pitch and he was lights out. Had to point out he should be a freshman in college and is playing agasint guys 6-7 years older on average. Hoping to time my next visit with they are in town to catch a game.

When I was in Reno it was the Silver Sox and the only Player I can remember is Kevin McReynolds That was a long time ago and Reno is much larger now.

I lived just outside Harrisonburg Va and would go to Richmond, Salem to watch games. Plus see the short season league right there in Harrisonburg. I was really bummed when the Braves moved to Gwinnett. Always hoped another team would come in but never happened. .

Harrisonburg is a nice town, gorgeous area. I went to school at Virginia Military Institute just down the interstate. Went up to Harrisonburg to visit JMU a good number of times when I was in school. The blue ridge mountains are a great place to spend time.

No, I actually didn't commission in the military after graduation. It's optional and about 50% go military while the rest go civilian.
I would have gone into the Marines but got drafted by the Brewers so wanted to chase that dream. Was short lived since I got lit up in pro ball but got to try at least.

I liked where this conversation was going and we need more of them like it in this league. Maybe it is just because we have a bunch of loud mouths in the sister league to this one. But it sure makes this league seem awfully quiet!! So I know everyone here goes to a bunch of MLB games very year. But I just moved to a city that the main sports team in town is the AAA team for the Dbacks (Reno Aces). So I'm more interested to hear who the biggest MINOR LEAGUE names are that you have gone and seen in person this year?? I have been to 2 games so far this year. Oklahoma City Dodgers and the Colorado Spring Sky Sox (Brewers). And I have tix to go see the Fresno Grizzlies (Astros) next week & the Tacoma Rainiers (Mariniers) later next month. So so far I have seen Jose De Leon pitch + Joc Pederson on a rehab assignment. Last game I saw Shipley pitch vs Hader...Orlando Arcia played SS. I can't wait to see AJ Reed next week! I'm bummed Bregman got called up last week so I will miss him! Haha...so anyway...keep it rolling! I know some of you have been to more games than I have and I'd like to hear about it! n8
